Kaolin belongs to nonmetallic ore, a kind of clay whose main components are kaolin-group minerals. This name is from a Chinese village called Kaolin where the villagers use the white clay (kaolin) to produce porcelain. Kaolin clay is white, smooth and soft. It has good plasticity and fire resistance capacity. The mineral components of kaolin are kaolinite, halloysite, hydromica, illite, montmorillonite, quartz and feldspar.
Washed kaolin:
(1)The quarried ores would be sent into the raw material bin. It would then be sent into the crusher for crushing by vibrating feeder.
(2)The ores crushed into the little particles meeting the feeding size of grinder would be put into the storage hopper by the elevator. Then the electromeganetic vibrating feeder evenly sends the materials to the grinder. In the process of grinding, the qualified products enter into cyclone powder collector through powder separator and the finished products would be discharged by discharging valve while the unqualified products would be sent back into grinder for another grinding.
(3)The materials ground into 300-1000meshes of particles need to be washed to remove sand. The mineral acid is used to make the materials turn neutral and finally the products form through dehydration under the temperature beyond 300℃.
Calcined kaolin:
(1)The calcination can be carried out by using vertical mechanization and semi-mechanization kiln, rotary kiln and boiling furnace.
(2)The ores crushed into the little particles meeting the feeding size of grinder would be put into the storage hopper by the elevator. Then the electromeganetic vibrating feeder evenly sends the materials to the grinder.
