The application and development of efficient ultra fine mill in modern industry

Special coatings, with optical, electrical, thermal, magnetic, corrosion, radiation and special decorative features, require fine particle size and narrow particle size distribution of functional pigments, such as those coatings used on road symbolic signs, its reflection filler’s average particle size is 0.1 ~ 1μm, while for the high-temperature lubricant coatings, its inorganic mineral filler like graphite, boron carbide, etc, the average particle size should be less than 10μm. Undoubtedly, the process of these pigments and fillers is inseparable from superfine processing technology.

To a large extent,ultrafine grinding technology can avoid some technical difficulties in the industrial production and meet the demands for special materials’ process. By doing this, it caters to the need of industry technology development. Therefore, many scholars at home and abroad, even some of excellent companies in the industry are committed to do research in this area. Currently, those equipments have been developed mainly include mechanical and airflow impact mill.
