Based on the number of screw shafts, the spiral classifier can be divided into two classes: single and double screw.
The spiral classifier can be divided into high weir, low weir and immersed-type spiral classifier based on the height of overflow weir.
Hydro-cyclone is a kind of equipment for classifying the ore pulp by use of centrifugal force. It has no motion and dynamic parts, and needs to be matched with corresponding slurry pump. It is mainly used in ore dressing industry for classifying, dewatering and desliming.
SBM provide spiral classifiers and FX series hydrocyclones. They are widely matched with ball mills to form closed-circuit grinding systems, and also used independently for sand classification, desliming and dewatering in mineral processing.
They adapt to all kinds of metal and non-metal ores including iron ore, lithium ore, gold ore, limestone, barite, quartz sand, coal gangue, for closed-circuit grinding, gravity separation desliming and tailings dewatering.
Yes. Multiple hydrocyclones can be connected in parallel to increase total throughput, or connected in series to realize multi-stage fine classification, supporting modular cluster layout.
Yes. It must be equipped with wear-resistant slurry pump to provide stable feeding pressure (0.05–0.25 MPa). Fluctuating pressure will directly reduce classification accuracy.
Common causes:1,Apex (sand discharge nozzle) severely worn, diameter becomes too large; 2,Feeding pressure is too low; 3,Feed slurry concentration is excessively high; 4,Vortex finder inner liner worn out. Solutions: Replace worn apex, increase pump frequency to raise pressure, dilute ore slurry with water, change vortex finder liner.
